Twelve counties. Four we're in every week.
Fremont Surface Care provides asphalt maintenance and pavement preservation throughout Southeast Ohio, based in Athens County — serving Athens, Nelsonville, The Plains, Glouster, Coolville, Albany, and Chauncey. We work regularly in the six counties bordering Athens: Washington County (Marietta, Belpre, Lowell), Hocking County (Logan, Rockbridge, Buchtel), Perry County (New Lexington, Crooksville, Corning), Meigs County (Pomeroy, Middleport, Racine), Morgan County (McConnelsville, Malta, Stockport), and Vinton County (McArthur, Zaleski, Hamden). Our extended service area covers Gallia, Jackson, Lawrence, Monroe, and Noble counties, including Gallipolis, Jackson, Wellston, Ironton, Woodsfield, and Caldwell. Services include sealcoating, crack sealing, infrared and cold mix pothole repair, alligator crack repair, and ADA-compliant line striping for commercial, residential, and municipal properties. There is no travel charge in Athens County; the six regional counties carry a flat $75 travel charge that is waived on projects over $1,000. Call (740) 508-2105 to confirm coverage for your address.

Athens County is where we're based and where we do most of our work. No travel charge, fastest scheduling, and the county we know best — from university-area rental properties and downtown commercial lots to rural driveways and township roads.
These six counties border Athens County directly. We're in them regularly, published service pricing applies, and a flat $75 travel charge applies — waived on projects over $1,000.
Marietta · Belpre · Matamoras · Lowell · Beverly · Devola
Logan · Haydenville · Union Furnace · Buchtel · Rockbridge · Laurelville
New Lexington · Corning · Junction City · Somerset · Crooksville · Thornville
Pomeroy · Middleport · Racine · Reedsville · Rutland · Syracuse
McConnelsville · Malta · Stockport · Chesterhill
McArthur · Wilkesville · Zaleski · Hamden
Why these six? They're the counties that share a border with Athens County — which makes them a straightforward drive rather than an expedition. Most commercial projects in these counties exceed the $1,000 threshold, so the travel charge rarely applies at all.
Gallia County — Gallipolis · Rio Grande · Crown City · Bidwell
Jackson County — Jackson · Wellston · Oak Hill · Coalton
Lawrence County — Ironton · Chesapeake · Coal Grove · Proctorville
Monroe County — Woodsfield · Clarington · Antioch · Miltonsburg
Noble County — Caldwell · Dexter City · Belle Valley · Middleburg
We serve these counties and welcome the work, particularly larger commercial projects. Travel is quoted per job based on distance and project size, and it appears in your written proposal before you agree to anything. Call (740) 508-2105 and let's talk about it.
Don't see your town? We routinely work in the smaller villages and rural townships throughout all twelve counties — the lists above are the major hubs, not the limits. If you have a commercial or residential property anywhere in Southeast Ohio, call (740) 508-2105 and we'll tell you straight whether we can get to you.
Every region stresses pavement differently. In Southeast Ohio, asphalt faces shifting river-valley soils along the Ohio and Hocking rivers and aggressive freeze-thaw cycling in the hills — a combination that fails pavement faster than either factor alone.
River-valley properties sit on soils that hold moisture and move seasonally, which means sub-base problems that don't announce themselves at the surface until they're expensive. Upland properties see harder temperature swings, and pavement there cracks from thermal cycling more than from soil movement. The two need different materials and different timing.
We don't just work here — we live here. That's not a slogan about community spirit. It's the reason we specify what we specify. A contractor working from a catalog picks the product with the best margin. A contractor who's watched the same lots fail across ten winters picks the one that holds.
Sealcoating — protects asphalt from UV, water, and chemical damage. Residential rates published. Crack sealing — hot-pour rubberized sealing that stops water reaching the sub-base. Pothole and infrared repair — permanent infrared restoration, cold mix patching, and GatorPave alligator crack repair. Line striping — parking lot layout, restriping, and ADA-compliant accessible parking. Pavement Guardian Program — multi-year maintenance planning for commercial properties, HOAs, and municipalities.
All five are available across all twelve counties.
